Moses Taylor Hospital was the first hospital in the United States to earn the Perinatal Care designation by The Joint Commission. This designation demonstrates our continued commitment to providing specialized high-risk pregnancy care for mothers with gestational diabetes, preeclampsia, and various existing medical conditions.
Moses Taylor Hospital also offers a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) – with 24-hour access to an in-house neonatologist. The NICU is designed to enable more control of artificial and natural lighting, as well as significant noise reduction to lower an infant’s stress levels. Private rooms are uniquely designed to suit the needs of premature or critically ill newborns, and specialized monitoring technology enables staff to continually observe every infant’s condition.

Our prenatal education team offers classes to help expectant parents learn about all aspects of childbirth and ongoing care. Our classes cover a variety of topics, including sibling classes to help prepare the entire family for a new addition, as well as the basics of caring for your new baby and infant CPR. We also offer breastfeeding classes and 24-hour access to a robust lactation program.Online classes are available.
